Major Milestones in 2024
Firefly Park, Frisco – Breaking Ground on a Vision
In April 2024, Wilks Development broke ground on Firefly Park, a 217-acre, mixed-use urban village set to redefine the heart of Frisco. Marking the beginning of:
3 million SF of Class-A office space
400,000 SF of retail, dining, and entertainment
1,200 hotel rooms and nearly 2,500 residences, including townhomes and mid- to high-rise apartments
A 45-acre central park with trails, lakes, an amphitheater, wedding chapel, public art, and more
This transformative project embodies our belief that community-first design is the foundation of lasting value.
Fort Worth Public Market – Heritage with Purpose
In Fort Worth, we’re revitalizing an iconic landmark with a vision rooted in history and community connection.
The Harden: A 199-unit active senior living community located just behind the historic Public Market, designed for residents aged 62+.
The Public Market: Reopening in late fall 2025, this restored architectural gem will offer a vibrant mix of shops, dining, and gathering spaces - breathing new life into a beloved structure and its surrounding community.
The District at Willow Park – A New Social Hub for Parker County
The District at Willow Park opened its doors in summer 2024 as Parker County’s first dedicated dining, retail, and entertainment district. Anchored by a 2,000-person amphitheater with a concert-grade stage and LED wall, it’s the cultural heart of our Willow Park North master-planned community.
Why We Build This Way
Wilks Development was founded by brothers Kyle and Josh Wilks and their cousin Jess Green - third-generation masons with a vision that extends far beyond the buildings themselves. Every project begins with a simple but powerful question: What will this space mean to people?
We don’t follow trends. We shape markets through design that prioritizes vibrancy, and long-term community. Being named a top developer is an honor - but the true reward is giving families, workers, and visitors places like Firefly Park, The Public Market, and The District at Willow Park to add to the rhythm of their everyday lives.
That’s what happens when you build with why at the center. Here’s to creating more spaces where life happens - and where stories unfold for generations to come.
