Work On Rowlett’s Ambitious ‘Bayside’ To Begin In March

Officials in the city of Rowlett say construction on a sprawling mixed-use development project along the shores of Lake Ray Hubbard will begin in March.

Also planned are improvements to Interstate-30 between Dallas and Rockwall to accommodate expected traffic to the “Bayside” community south of the highway.

Exclusive: TD Ameritrade to close on land deal for new Southlake regional campus

A big deal that has been circling the Dallas-Fort Worth real estate circles for years, TD Ameritrade Inc. has landed on a 78-acre parcel of land in Southlake to develop and build a new regional corporate campus. The new campus would consolidate TD Ameritrade’s regional operations from two existing buildings in Fort Worth to a single corporate campus, Kim Hillyer, a spokeswoman for the Nebraska-based online brokerage firm, told the Dallas Business Journal. “Dallas-Fort Worth is our second largest people location,” Hillyer told the Dallas Business Journal. “We are currently running out of space and we have been looking for a long time in what we want to do in the area.”
