New hotel coming to Willow Park

A new hotel will be constructed in Willow Park later this year.
Wilks Development, the company that built the Shops at Willow Park, announced plans to build the first-ever hotel in Willow Park on Thursday.
It will be a SpringHill Suites by Marriott, Wilks Development announced in a news release.
“This will be the first hotel in Willow Park and we are set to break ground later this year. The goal is to be open for guests in late 2019.”
The hotel will be located behind The Shops at Willow Park and will back up to the river, Marketing Director Kristin Peaks said.
“The goal is to have the back of the hotel with the balconies and the pool overlook the river,” she said.
Willow Park Mayor Doyle Moss said the new hotel marked a step forward for the city’s economic development.
